The US Postal Service (“USPS”) finalized a plan effective Oct. 1 to slow down some first-class mail deliveries. Existing one- to three-day service standards will be revised to one to five days for first-class mail. The USPS has stated that 61% of first-class mail will remain at its current standard. At this time, American Bank is uncertain if and to what extent this change will affect the delivery of statements, debit cards, check orders, etc. While we do not anticipate major delays, if you need to receive your account statement(s) as quickly as possible after production, we encourage you to sign up for e-Statements to prevent possible delays by the USPS.
